Located on a peculiar elongated plot, Son Maig, a contemporary-style Passivhaus home, will enjoy a sense of privacy and spaciousness that is achieved thanks to the plot’s traits and the abundant vegetation that defines its perimeter.

The north-south slope of the plot was a determining factor in the design of this Passivhaus home; opening out and looking for the sun to the south, and towards the views of the Sierra de Tramuntana to the north.

In the design of this passive house, patios have been included that create a relationship with the outside on various levels, making each room a very special place. The living space is multifunctional; the living room, kitchen and dining room seek to open up but at the same time maintain the intimacy of the interior, and the pool represents an element of enjoyment in the middle of nature with unobstructed views.

This efficient building has been designed from its beginning to be a family home where one can enjoy life, both indoors and outdoors, applying Passivhaus systems to guarantee energy efficiency and the comfort of its inhabitants.
