Benasque, the last village before the border with France, the last refuge before crossing to the other side of the Pyrenees, an ideal place to rest and unwind.
The project proposes to rehabilitate an old borda to create a base camp from which to go out to conquer the mountain.
The borda breathes into a patio, a patio that becomes its lung, not simply because of what it offers but also because it is a place where light, water and air converge and dance in harmony. The social area, located on the upper floor, receives more light, while the ground floor is reserved for the rooms that are more directly connected to the land.
The rehabilitation of the borda implies respecting the legacy, playing with the main frame that is already present, focusing the attention on other elements.
