Who is behind KLARQ? KLARQ is led by Kimberley Díaz and Lluís Oliva, architect and president of the Ibiza and Formentera chapter of the COAIB (Official Association of Architects of the Balearic Islands).
Where does KLARQ work? We work mainly in Ibiza and Mallorca, although we have also completed projects outside the islands, such as in Tres Cantos (Madrid) and Benasque.
How long does a project with KLARQ take? It depends on the size and scope: a renovation usually takes 6 to 12 months, and new-build construction between 18 and 24 months.
What does the design process look like? We always start with a meeting to understand the client's needs and goals. Once the project begins, we work with moodboards to confirm we're on the right track before developing the full project.
Do you work with international clients? Yes, a large part of our clients are European buyers looking for a second home in Ibiza or Mallorca.
How much does a project with KLARQ cost? Every project is different and designed to measure, so we don't work with fixed prices. Get in touch and we'll give you guidance based on your project's specifics.
What is Passivhaus and why do you apply it? Passivhaus is an international energy-efficiency standard that drastically reduces a home's heating and cooling demand through continuous insulation, elimination of thermal bridges, and heat-recovery ventilation. At Ca Na Lola we achieved 0.38 ACH airtightness; at Son Maig we applied the Passivhaus Plus standard.
Do you only do architecture, or interior design too? KLARQ brings together three areas under one team: KLARQ architecture (new builds, renovations and refurbishments), KLARQ decor (interior design, kitchens and furniture) and KLARQ development (real estate developments).
